For the first time ever, Cape Town will not have a contestant in the final after the lovely Chloe Kiley (23) had to wave her Idols dreams farewell last night.

The Top 8 Idols were mentored this week by J-Something from the SAMA-award winning house group MiCasa, who were in the house to perform their hit song La Vida at last night's Results Show. J-Something confessed that bubbly Sheki Donnell (17) from Durban delivered his favourite performance in the Top 8 show and the voters agreed – Sheki was safe for the next Spectacular.

Idols judge Gareth Cliff said he could not make a prediction about the Bottom Three based on his 5FM listeners.  "I'm getting the feeling there is no clear winner," he commented. Unathi Msengana said her sense from her Metro FM listeners was that Dominic Neill had redeemed himself in the Top Eight Spectacular, while Randall Abrahams suspected that Dom would be in the Bottom Three for a third time.

And he was right. For the third straight Results Show Dominic Neill (19) from Johannesburg found himself in the hot seat in the Bottom Three, and this week he was joined in the danger zone by Monde Msutwana (30) from Pretoria.

This week's Top Seven Spectacular will be recorded at the Home Of Idols, the Mosaïek Teatro, on Friday, 24 August, and broadcast on M-Net, M-Net HD and Mzansi Magic at 5.30pm on Sunday, 26 August.

Tickets for the show are available from Computicket.
