New 'Idols' winner Jason Hartman has revealed how he really feels about the embarrassing voting blunder that lead to him being declared joint winner with Sasha-Lee Davids.

Hartman stated that M-Net clearly did not want a war on their hands, saying that if the title was taken away from Sasha-Lee and given to him, there could have been a lot of issues, especially with her fans, according to Melinda Shaw, Editor in Chief of heat magazine.

"Jason said that if M-Net forced Sasha-Lee to hand over the title, he wouldn't want it," Shaw explained.

"He feels that the noble thing to do would be for Sasha-Lee to face the obvious truth that he won hands down and therefore deserves the crown. He just feels it's the right thing to do, especially since there was a major difference of 200 000 votes!"

During the interview, Hartman admitted that he's been on the receiving end of a lot of vicious comments from Davids' fans. He also revealed that she has not spoken to him about the debacle and he has no idea what she is thinking.

"He told us that he had feedback from Sasha-Lee's fans and family, saying that he was behind it all, which Jason insisted was the furthest thing from the truth," Shaw added.

In the heat article, Hartman also complained about the standard of the 'Idols' production, and the conditions they lived in while staying in the 'Idols' house.

Shaw admitted she was surprised by the frank answers of Hartman who arrived at the interview alone, not accompanied by any Idols reps or PR person, which "allowed Jason to open his heart to us, instead of giving us the usual PR-friendly answers we expected."
