A record vote this week delivered a shock result when the endearing Thembi Nkosi (19) from Johannesburg was the one to go home, despite predictions from the country's top radio stations and the 'Idols' judges that it would be Lendel.

The Top 5 sang songs by their own Idols last night, and songs chosen for them by the country?s top radio stations. And on Monday night, those same radio stations weighed in with their listeners' opinions on who would have to say goodbye tonight.

Algoa FM listeners chose Sasha-Lee's song last night, and tonight they predicted that Lendel would go.

East Coast Radio selected Jason's song, and they thought that Graeme wouldn't survive Monday night.

Jacaranda 94.2 selected a song for Thembi, and they thought tonight would be Lendel's turn to leave.

94.5 KFM supported Graeme on Sunday night, and they, too, didn?t think Lendel would survive.

And OFM listeners in the nation's heartland were responsible for Lendel's song, but unfortunately they also thought he would leave tonight.

The three 'Idols' judges who were in attendance Sunday night concurred.

Dave thought it was a great show but he thought the least exciting performance this week came from Lendel. Randall agreed that Lendel wouldn't get the votes and Gareth, who had been correct every week so far, made his first incorrect prediction ? he also thought it would be Lendel.

Now, for the first time in 'Idols' history, there is only one lady left in the Top 4. The Top 4 who will perform in the Top 4 Spectacular at the Teatro at the Mosaiek in Fairlands on Friday, 17 April are:

  • Sasha Lee Davids (18) from Cape Town (086 2277708 or SMS "Sasha Lee" to 34680)
  • Jason Hartman (29) from Durban (086 2277710 or SMS "Jason" to 34680)

  • Graeme Watkins (26) from Cape Town (086 2277713 or SMS "Graeme" to 34680)
