Nicki Minaj is expected to be unveiled as a new American Idol judge.
A source told Us Weekly magazine that Minaj is "100 per cent confirmed to judge American Idol."
A second show insider said: "I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening."
If she does join the show, the Super Bass singer will sit alongside pop legend Mariah Carey, who was announced as a judge on the show last month for a reported $18-million following the departures of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
Carey said of her role: "As a singer, songwriter and producer, it's going to be fun and rewarding to help find new talent and give back to American Idol."
Nick Jonas is reportedly in the running to complete the line-up of panellists as original judge Randy Jackson is set to move into a job as a mentor to the contestants.
