America will get a taste of "zef" on Monday as South African band Die Antwoord prepare to make an appearance on the popular Late Show With David Letterman.
It will be Die Antwoord's first appearance on Letterman, and the band will introduce their new album Ten$ion on the show in preparation for its release on 7 February. They will be joined on the talk show by former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The appearance comes as zef-rap fever spreads like wildfire across the States. Die Antwoord's singers, Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er, currently feature on billboards across New York as the combined face of designer Alexander Wang's new clothing collection.
"It's difficult to say why Americans like us so much," Ninja was quoted as saying.
He also said that because American audiences do not understand Afrikaans swear words, he could say what he wanted and viewers wouldn't understand.
According to Die Burger, Monday's Letterman episode will be broadcast on South African television in the next few weeks.
