Caster Semenya is the star of a new documentary.

A British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) television crew has arrived in South Africa to shoot a documentary on the life of the 800m world champion, according to reports.

This comes after the BBC reached an agreement with the athlete's lawyers who were reportedly paid "a substantial amount of money".

Speaking from the Athletics Gauteng North ceremony in Pretoria on Saturday where the athlete won three major awards, Semenya said her lawyers instructed her not to talk to the media.

Semenya said: "I'm sorry, my bra, I'm not allowed to speak to the media. Speak to my coach on everything you want to know about me."
