document.write("Firstly I'll admit I haven't seen the latest Bond outing Quantum of Solace yet, but have seen the previous one Casino Royale.<br /><br />Although Casino Royale was an enjoyable movie and good action, but and big but... it wasn't and didn't feel at all like I was watching a James Bond 007 movie, it just felt like something else. No real gadgets to speak of, no highly improbably but still possible plots and weird villains, etc. etc. that we've come to expect from Bond, that's what Bond is all about...<br /><br />And seems Quantum of Solace just goes further to erode what was the actual character behind Bond movies.<br />This seems like a bond movie and James Bond 007 in name only and nothing else, just cashing in on the 007 franchise but then making a totally different movie that has little or no connection to what Bond is.<br /><br />Sad.. document.write("When I first clapped eyes on the 'new' Bond I knew it was the beginning of the end. Unfortunately the man does not have the refined looks and the air of sophistication that has been attributed to (and expected of) Bond for so many decades. He's a bit rough around the edges, has a boxers nose (never mind those ears!) and looks as if he belongs in an overall instead of a tuxedo. I also found the entire atmosphere of Casino Royale totally different from what one has come to expect of Bond movies. Disappointing. I havent seen the new Bond movie yet, but it doesnt sound worth seeing...Yes it is sad - end of an era.. Kim");

document.write("I disagree with this review. Sure, this Bond may not be what some would expect, but I think the portrayal of the character by Daniel Craig is the most believable in the series yet. I had to laugh the day I went to see this when I saw the poster for the movie playing in the cinema next to ours. It was of Mamma Mia - starring Pierce Brosnan! and playing next door - 007 - the new, improved version not the old, softie portrayal by Brosnan. I really think that if there was someone like Bond he would be less of a wise-cracking cheese and wine laugh-it-off swaggering idiot as portrayed in the old movies and more of a tough, disturbed, self-destructive, look-at-me-the-wrong-way-and-I'll-moer-you kinda guy. I hated the old Bond and the new Bond must stay - he rocks! This movie was like a pure shot of adrenaline and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I would give this movie 8 out of 10.
