I guess it's not too bad if the wanna-bes are living so much more ostentatious lives that they help keep the lenses off you.

Lenses are going back on Jennifer Love Hewitt, though.

A long time ago (an eternity in TV/movie years), Hewitt was a star of that most insanely depressing of shows, 'Party of Five'. She headlined a bunch of films; things were looking rosy... But her career's faltered a bit since then ? until now.

Now, she's all set to burst back in front of viewers' eyes! Well, more like sneak back, really, since she'll be starring in a made-for-TV movie. But it sounds as if it's going to be heart-warming!

"It's sort of like Erin Brockovich in a brothel," Jennifer informs us, about the flick in which she'll be playing a sex worker.

And, says her man Jamie Kennedy, "It's time for her to start showing everyone what I already know." I think, given character's profession, he might have wanted to phrase that just a touch differently.

Finally, I leave you with the distressing (wonderful?) news that Lindsay Lohan has been entirely relieved of any association with fashion label Emanuel Ungaro, after her design efforts for the brand got her a mix of stunned horror and merciless derision from the fashion world.

The Lindsay-Ungaro pairing garnered some of the worst runway reviews I've ever seen ? amongst them, the comment that the clothes had "a celebrity-led aesthetic that was obvious to the point of banality" and the suggestion that this show, "may go down in history as the final gasp of celebrity madness."

Not to mention that the runway looks were deemed so embarrassingly bad that the after-party was almost empty. "Bigger crowds have turned out for free champagne at store openings," observed one fashion journalist. Eina.

So, not surprisingly, Lohan was altogether absent from their just-past Paris Fashion Week show ? no sign of her in the audience even ? and LiLo herself confirmed to fashion industry bible Women's Wear Daily that, "I don't work for them anymore."

That poor girl. She really cannot catch a break.
