Gary Barlow is "devastated" after his daughter Poppy was delivered stillborn.
The Take That frontman and his wife Dawn — who have children Daniel (11), nine-year-old Emily and three-year-old Daisy together — have appealed for privacy as they focus on arranging a funeral for their daughter.
Gary said in a statement: "Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we've lost our baby. Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn on August 4th in London.
"Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts. We'd ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected."
According to the Daily Mail, Dawn was eight-and-a-half months pregnant when Poppy was delivered.
Gary – who married Dawn in 2000, five years after they met when she was a dancer for Take That – is scheduled to appear at the closing ceremony of the Olympics this Sunday (12 August), although it is not yet known if these plans will change.
