Tom Cruise is the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, according to Forbes.
The Rock of Ages actor scooped the top position on the annual list with earnings of $75-million acquired between May 2011 and May 2012, including revenue from the very successful Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol which raked in more than $700-million at cinemas worldwide.
Leonardo DiCaprio – who led the list last year – shared joint position with comedian Adam Sandler with both amassing earnings of $37-million.
Former WWE wrestler, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, came in fourth with $36-million after the success of Fast Five, which took in $626-million at the box office, while comedian Ben Stiller rounded off the list with $33-million in at number five.
Other actors in the top ten include The Fighter star Mark Wahlberg, Men in Black III actor Will Smith and Dark Shadows star Johnny Depp.
Aside from movie takings, Forbes also considered factors like endorsements, advertising work, residuals, profit participation and upfront pay when collecting the list.
