Natalie Portman will reportedly tie the knot next month.

It was previously believed that Portman and her choreographer fiancé Benjamin Millepied had wed earlier this year – but according to friends the ceremony will be held in Big Sur, California on 5 August.

A friend told In Touch: "Natalie and Ben will marry in Big Sur. It's one of Natalie's favourite places - whenever she needs a break from LA she goes there."

"Just 60 guests will be invited to the ceremony and the couple want the event to be as laid-back as possible.

According to the insider, the nuptials will be a simple, low-key affair.

The source claimed: "This wedding is for their closest friends and family. It will be a very relaxed affair. They're not sending out invites. Natalie may not even buy a new dress!"

At the Academy Awards earlier this year, the couple sparked rumours that they had secretly wed after they were both spotted with apparent wedding bands.

An insider clarified that they had started wearing the bands before the arrival of their son Aleph in June of last year.

The friend explained: "Natalie and Ben exchanged rings in private prior to Aleph's birth."

The couple met on the set of Black Swan – for which Portman won the Best Actress Academy Award in 2011 – and started dating in 2009.

During her acceptance speech, Portman gave a heartfelt tribute to Millepied, thanking him for giving her the "most important role of my life" and calling him her "beautiful love".
