Usher is being stalked by a fan who believes that she is married to him.
The Climax singer was forced to obtain a restraining order against Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw after she visited his home uninvited on two occasions, according to TMZ.com.
Usher claimed that Jones-Rakestraw “placed him in reasonable fear for his own safety and/or the safety of his immediate family”, and was granted a restraining order against her.
According to the site, Jones-Rakestraw apparently banged on the door on 23 June and pleaded to be let in, prompting Usher to call the police, who in turn warned her not to come to the singer’s home again.
Jones-Rakestraw (26) did in fact return to Usher’s home the next day, and told law enforcement that she was the star’s wife and had lost her keys. She was arrested.
After her arrest, Jones-Rakestraw posted a video on YouTube denying that she is a stalker and claiming that she plans to file defamation charges.
In her rant, she rambles: “I’m not a stalker. He has officially slandered me and defamed my character.”
