Kanye West launched an expletive-filled tirade against a fan during a performance in Paris at the weekend.

The All Of The Lights star was furious when an audience member shone a laser pen in his direction at the show in France, causing the US star — who was performing as part of he and Jay-Z's Watch The Throne world tour — ordered the man to "chill the f**k out" or be thrown out of the venue.

After cutting short the intro to his song Flashing Lights, Kanye said: "You see this guy right here with the green laser? Don't f**k with everybody's show.

"This is not a f**king game," he said to a chorus of boos.

"We don't f**k around like that. You're going to get f**ked up and kicked out and all of that s**t. So chill the f**k out."

Following his rant, Kanye attempted to get the show back on track .

He added: "Are y'all having a good time this evening? I said, are y'all having a good time this evening?"

The gig was shrouded in further controversy because of a tweet sent by Jay-Z's friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Alongside a picture from the gig, she wrote: "N***as in Paris for real @mrteriusnash tyty, beehigh (sic)."

She drew heavy criticism for her use of the word and had to defend herself, insisting she was referring to the track N****s in Paris.

She wrote: "Hold up. It's the title of the song!"
