Newlywed Drew Barrymore has gushed about her "perfect" wedding.

Barrymore – who is expecting her first child with art consultant husband Will Kopelman – said she couldn't have hoped for a better day.

She told People magazine: "The day was perfect. Everyone we love and care about was there. It was as fun and meaningful as we ever could have hoped."

The couple both wore Chanel during the Jewish ceremony, which was officiated by the Kopelman's family rabbi at the star's home in California.

A guest said: "It was a classic, simple, very pretty, garden-inspired wedding."

Kopelman proposed to the Charlie's Angels star during a holiday in Sun Valley, Idaho earlier this year after an 18-month courtship.

Barrymore has been married twice before: once to bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994 and comedian Tom Green in 2001.
