Britney Spears has returned to her family home in Louisiana to be by her pregnant sister's side.

The singer arrived in New Orleans on Wednesday afternoon after taking a flight from Los Angeles. She was accompanied by her brother Bryan (31), father Jamie (55) and her assistant.

The party then moved on to the family's mansion in Kentwood, named Serenity, just days before Jamie Lynn Spears gives birth.

The 17-year-old has been preparing for the imminent delivery by buying furniture with her 53-year-old mother Lynne. She's also been readying the nursery which features a "silver-green", brown and pink colour scheme.
