Demi Moore has checked into rehab.

The 49-year-old actress - who was admitted to hospital on 23 January following a seizure after "smoking something" at her Beverley Hills home – has reportedly checked herself into the Cirque Lodge treatment centre in Sundance, Utah, where she is said to be on "total lockdown".

A source told E! News that the star is receiving treatment for "eating disorder and addiction issues" at the $1000-a-night clinic, which has reportedly treated stars including Lindsay Lohan and Eva Mendes.

A source told E!: "She's on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people."

"It became clear to her that her way of coping with her stress was not working and she needed more help."

Following her stint in hospital, Demi disappeared from the public eye when she was reported to be seeking "spiritual guidance" for her problems – with E! reporting the star was working with "an intuitive healer and psychic medium".

Demi – who split from husband Ashton Kutcher in November after he allegedly cheated on her on their sixth wedding anniversary – is said to have been spurred to seek help after her troubles, which are rumoured to include anorexia and substance abuse, came under so much scrutiny.

Last week it was reported that Demi's three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis, Scout (20), Tallulah (16) and 23-year-old Rumer, were encouraging her to seek treatment

RadarOnline also reported that Demi's estranged husband Ashton was keen to see Demi receive treatment.

A source said "Ashton has had loved ones in his life that have dealt with addiction issues, and he realises that it's counter-productive for someone to be forced to go to rehab.

"Ashton knows the addict has to want to get help for themselves. There is a lot of noise around Demi right now, and Ashton wants her to know he is there for her and supports her no matter what."
