Britney Spears' dad plans to sell the home where she went through her recent dramas.
The home, in the gated community of Summit near Beverley Hills, is where in January she was picked up by an ambulance and forced to a psychiatric hospital.
Although the 'Toxic' singer has begun showing the home to prospective purchasers, it is unclear when Spears plans to move.
"Having more privacy and wide open spaces for her to raise her boys has been a goal for some time," a friend told People.
Earlier this week the singer was seen looking at a 7300-square-foot house worth $5.6-million in the Encino suburb of Los Angeles, which is closer to the home where ex-husband Kevin Federline lives with their sons Jayden James and Sean Preston.
Spears' current Mediterranean-style two-story residence features five bedrooms, a media room, library, six and a half bathrooms, and a huge open living room in 7400 square feet. Of course the back garden features a hot tub and pool.
The hilltop villa cost the singer $6.7-million in December 2007.
The planned sale of the home by Spears' father Jamie was approved by an LA court on Tuesday.
Spears senior was granted the power to "sell or dispose of" some of her seven cars and retains legal control of the singer's affairs until a hearing on 31 July.
Spears is planning to spend some time in Lousiana this week where her younger daughter Jamie Lynn is expecting to give birth soon.
Jamie Lynn (17) has reportedly "not been feeling well" lately, which has caused the rest of the family to accelerate their travel plans.
