Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt tied the knot on Saturday in a church in New Orleans, Star magazine reported. But according to a source close to the pair, "no wedding" happened.
The couple weren?t even in the city over the weekend, with Pitt currently filming 'Tree Of Live' with Sean Penn in Austin, Texas, People magazine reported on Sunday.
Jolie and Pitt did spend a weekend in New Orleans a fortnight ago when the 'Troy' star was there for his "Make It Right" project that aims to rebuild part of the city destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
Following the denial, Star Magazine have issued a retraction of the original wedding story.
"Sources in a position to have information regarding a secret wedding ceremony between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had confirmed to Star that the couple married in the French Quarter Wedding Chapel on Saturday, March 29," the magazine reported
"There were two weddings, one planned and one unplanned one source told Star. Brad and Angelina's was the planned ceremony. The weather wasn't good, so we were indoors."
"After further investigation, the sources are not standing by their story. Brad and Angelina's reps have not commented."
Pitt and Jolie have previously stated they would only tie the knot when all Americans, regardless of their sexual persuasion, are allowed to do so.
Jolie is pregnant, reportedly with twins, and expected to give birth later this year.
