Paris Hilton knows all about the animals of the Hollywood party scene. But over the Easter weekend, the socialite got up close and personal with another kind of wildlife at a private game reserve outside Cape Town.

Paris Hilton and boyfriend Benji Madden of the rock group Good Charlotte spent the long weekend at Aquila Private Game Reserve.

The couple were accompanied by Madden's band mates who played at the My Coke Festival at Kenilworth Race Course on 24 March.

“Incredible experience, I had the best time,” said Hilton who, during her South African visit also stopped in at the Jacaranda Children's Home in Pretoria.

“One of my best experiences in my life,” added Madden.

The couple, who checked into the Honeymoon Suite, reportedly enjoyed the private game drives, the Khoi San rock art and got up close and personal to the large herds of game in the Big 5 territory.

The pair were also introduced to Aquila’s cheetah conservation program.

"We are proud that over the years, Aquila has become the chosen place for A list celebrities and VIP’s to hide out and experience a Big 5 safari while visiting Cape Town," said the reserve's Searl Derman.
