Angelina Jolie will give birth to a boy and a girl in France, according to US media reports.

Last week Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt were overjoyed to hear they are expecting twins, a source told In Touch magazine.

"They're ecstatic. She can't wait," the source claimed after the pair had visited their obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Jason Rothbart.

"Because she took fertility treatments to help her ovulate, her babies are fraternal," added the source.

Jolie is "out of breath a lot, but she loves every second of [pregnancy]."

Although Jolie and Pitt, who met on the set of 2005 movie 'Mr & Mrs Smith', have not confirmed the pregnancy, the 'Tomb Raider' actress' belly is steadily growing, as if she is with child.

The couple's publicist has issued a "no comment" statement in response to the latest news.

But the magazine also claims Jolie was heard talking on the set of Pitt's new film 'Tree Of Life' to a friend about the unborn babies, revealing that they are "kicking and moving".

The pair reportedly intend to have the children outside the United States and Jolie is particularly fond of France, her late mother's home country.

Their biological child Shiloh was born in Namibia.
