Hollywood's glamour couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, may also be its most generous couple.

The movie stars gave a combined $6.8-million to charity in 2008.

According to the 2008 tax return for the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, the amount was more than double what the Hollywood couple gave in 2007.

The biggest recipients were Global Health with $2-million, Human Rights Watch with $1-million and Pitt's Hurricane Katrina charity, the Make it Right Foundation, with $1-million.

Other notable contributions included $500,000 to the Armed Services YMCA of the US Army and about $1-million to projects in Cambodia, the country from which Jolie adopted her first child.
