Actress Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to appear before a Beverly Hills judge on Friday in connection with a progress report stemming from her 2007 drunk-driving case, court records showed on Thursday.
Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered the 23-year-old actress to attend the hearing even though such an appearance is not usually mandatory in a misdemeanor case.
Celebrity news website TMZ.com reported that Lohan may have violated an alcohol education program she was required to complete as part of her sentence.
Lohan was arrested for driving under the influence two years ago in May. After a stay in rehab, she was caught two months later for drunk driving and cocaine possession.
The arrests led her to ultimately serve a mere 84 minutes in jail. She was also sentenced to 10 hours of community service and three years of probation.
The queen of Hollywood nights and a favorite target of the paparazzi, the former Disney child star was once considered one of the most promising actresses of her generation.
But her career has dipped many times since 2005 amid legal woes, stops in rehab and cinematic flops.
