Abercrombie & Fitch Trading Co is suing Beyonce Knowles because of her yet-to-be-released fragrance called 'Sasha Fierce'.

The clothing retailer feels Knowles' fragrance, which is named after her alter ego, will be unfair competition to their fragrance 'Fierce', media reports say.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co filed a lawsuit in Columbus stating that Knowles' use of the word 'fierce' is trademark infringment, unfair competition and deceptive trade practice.

The clothing retailer feels that consumers will be confused by the two fragrances and that Beyonce's fragrance could take business from them.

Abercrombie & Fitch Trading Co's men's fragrance 'Fierce' has been around since 2002. Abercrombie has made over R1-billion in sales from their fragrance 'Fierce' and its sales in 2009 stand at R471-million.
