Steve Hofmeyr has reached out to Joost van der Westhuizen, following the sex tape scandal that threatens to end the rugby player's marriage to Amor Vittone.

"Sorry my friend, I know what you're going through," the singer wrote on his blog.

"From now on you will never again receive sympathy as the victim. You are the antichrist," wrote Hofmeyr as he outlined Van Der Westhuizen's immediate future.

Earlier this year the singer experienced similar public outrage when details of an affair emerged and resulted in his wife, Natasha Sutherland, filing for divorce.

"From now on the media won't give you any time or emotional space to deal with the situation. Consider yourself lucky if Amor stays with you," wrote Hofmeyr in the post entitled "What now, Joost?"

"From now on the bloodthirsty public will demand an apology, even though you only owe your wife an apology," he continued.

"Men who are tired of masturbation will target you from the moral high ground as immoral... women will see you as the agent of their greatest fear."

Hofmeyr, who pointed out that Van Der Westhuizen's performances in the Springbok jersey will be forgotten in the wake of this scandal ("memories are short") ended his post with an invitation for the rugby player to call him.
