Courteney Cox and David Arquette's new jewellery line has been inspired by a child with a life-threatening disease.
The couple — who have a five-year-old daughter Coco — have collaborated with US accessories label Satya and have created a range of pieces, with profits going to cause which is very close to their hearts.
David said: "There is a beautiful child named Brendon, the son of one of our dear friends, Andrea Pett Joseph, who was born with Epidermolysis Bullosa or EB. We were not aware of the condition until it affected us personally but, of course, once we got to know this incredible child we wanted to do whatever we could to help."
EB is a genetic condition which results in the skin developing burn-like wounds, making even simple tasks almost impossible.
The couple — who used butterflies as the symbol for their jewellery as it shows the fragility of sufferers' skin — say they wanted to do something positive with their fame after becoming parents to Coco.
David added to Vogue.com: "I think becoming a parent redefines your understanding of love and compassion. Beyond spirituality, it is about being a good person and doing what you can to make a difference and make this world a better place. It is important to do positive things in your life."
