Kiefer Sutherland stunned bar staff when he bought all of their customers a drink.
The '24' actor and crew members of the hit US drama series popped into The Spot in San Pedro, California, after finishing a shoot, as they wanted to relax with a few alcoholic beverages.
According to an employee, Kiefer was enjoying scotch and cokes and decided to buy everyone in the venue — about 30 people — leaving him with a R4000 bar bill. He then left staff an impressive R800 tip when he left at the end of the night.
Kiefer is not the only celebrity to leave a generous amount of money. Earlier this year, Johnny Depp gave a staggering R32 000 gratuity at a Chicago restaurant.
The 46-year-old actor was celebrating a red carpet screening of his new movie 'Public Enemies' with a group of friends — including his co-star Marion Cotillard and the film's director Michael Mann — at Gibsons Bar and Steakhouse when he left the mammoth tip.
Waiter Mohammed A. Sekhani confirmed: "Depp hosted a party of 15 people, including Mann and Cotillard, and the tip was split 12 ways. Depp is the finest of all the stars I have ever waited on. And he is a true icon, and his ability to respect others is phenomenal. He loves Chicago, and Chicago loves him. Depp is one cool and generous dude."
