Ster-Kinekor Theatres has to date sold over 24 000 pre-sale tickets in South Africa for Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' — tripling the previous pre-sale record, with just one day to go before this highly anticipated film is released worldwide.

Limited tickets are still available for the exclusive South African premieres of the film on 28 October in Johannesburg (SK Fourways), Durban (SK Gateway), Cape Town (SK Cavendish Square) and Pretoria (SK Sterland).

These Ster-Kinekor-exclusive events will start at 2am, with a live satellite link to Ryan Seacrest hosting red carpet-arrivals at the LA premiere. Get ready for plenty of other thrills, surprises and special entertainment for this official local premiere — culminating with the first ever screening of 'This Is It' at 3am.

There are also still tickets left for the 2 week-release of 'This Is It' at 48 Ster-Kinekor cinemas nationwide. The film will show 5 times a day, every day, following the premieres on Wednesday — normal show times & ticket prices apply.

All Ster-Kinekor cinemas will join the worldwide release of the film to celebrate the pop icon's life and work — including a Celebratory Wall at the premiere cinemas. Personal messages left by fans will be collected by Ster-Kinekor Theatres for a bound album to be sent to the Jackson family, in acknowledgment of the contributions he made to Africa.
