Fans of Michael Jackson are making sure South Africa is part of global send-offs to the iconic entertainer.

Sony Music’s Duncan Gibbon said a mass moonwalk is being finalised to take place in Sandton on Thursday evening.

“Access to the event will be a donation of either a blanket or clothing to benefit the underprivileged which I think is quite fitting,” Gibbon said.

Designer Steph G will dedicate his Cape Town fashion show to the King of Pop too.

“I’m using my fashion show to keep his name alive in my own special way,” the designer said.

A commemorative party is also planned to take place in Cape Town on Wednesday.
