As Perez Hilton accuses Black Eyed Peas' tour manager of assault, more celebs join the row.

The Peas' tour manager, Polo Molina, has been charged with assaulting the celebrity blogger and has been ordered to appear in court on 5 August.

The alleged incident took place at Cobra club in Toronto, Canada on early Monday morning, when Hilton was confronted by band member will.i.am and Polo. The two were reportedly upset about the blogger's negative coverage of their new music.

During an earlier altercation on Sunday evening Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie had also criticised his coverage, Hilton claimed in a video blog on his website.

"Will.i.am sees me and comes directly towards me like a heat-seeking missile," said the blogger. "He was screaming in my face."

Later Polo "from behind, clocks me in the eye and punches me two or three times".

After the incident the blogger reported the incident on his Twitter page: "I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."

Will.i.am has accused the blogger born Mario Lavandeira of being an attention seeker and blowing the incident out of proportion. He also questioned Hilton's decision to use Twitter rather than call the police directly.

"It sounds like somebody wants mad attention and is not really concerned about his health," will.i.am wrote on his blog.

And as the situation escalates, Fergie's husband Josh Duhamel has leapt to her defence.

"It makes me angry; she doesn't deserve that, she works very hard," the 'Transformers' star said of Hilton's previous negative comments about his wife.

"[Hilton's] become rich off of saying hateful things about people and sometimes people get what they deserve, I guess."
