Nicole Richie has been injured in a car accident.

Richie was driving a Land Rover on Beverly Hills' Wilshire Blvd when a photographer rear-ended into her car, Beverly Hills police lieutenant Mike Hill told The Associated Press.

Although Richie complained of pain she chose to get private treatment so no ambulance was called to the scene.

The freelance photographer, Edwardo Arrivebene, was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license.

Hill also said he wasn't sure if there were any passengers in either of the cars.

Richie has a daughter, Harlow, with Joel Madden and recently gave birth to their second child, Sparrow James Midnight Madden.
