Robert Downey Jr. is on a mission to hook up Guy Ritchie with a new lover.

The Oscar winner who stars Ritchie's new movie 'Sherlock Homes', has come up with a list of interesting female candidates to go out with the director.

Jennifer Aniston and Cameroon Diaz are reportedly on top of the list of possible dates for Ritchie — who has been single since his divorce from Madonna last year.

The National Enquirer magazine reported: "Robert is determined to find Guy his dream girl. He and his wife Susan Levin put together a list of worthy women for him to pursue.

"Robert and Guy became close friends during the filming of 'Sherlock Holmes' while Guy was going through his painful divorce from Madonna.

"Robert kept telling Guy that what he needed was a new girlfriend to help him forget his troubles. But Guy wasn't ready then."

The two men are usually spotted partying together in the US and the UK, and Downey Jr makes sure that he introduces his friend to all the beautiful women.

"When Guy and Robert see an attractive woman, Robert introduces himself and follows up with, 'Have you met my friend Guy? He is wonderful!' "

Ritchie has been linked to a string of women including Elle Macpherson and Jemima Khan since his divorce.

The film-maker was reportedly spotted enjoying a cozy lunch with a mysterious brunette in LA, before taking a walk next to the beach.
