Hugh Jackman lost his temper and stopped a Broadway show when a cellphone went off in the audience recently.
The Australian actor, who is starring alongside Daniel Craig in the play 'A Steady Rain', was interrupted by the ringing during a tense moment in his performance.
"You want to get that?" Jackman said while in character.
"Grab your phone, it doesn't matter." he said as the ringing continued.
"Come on, just turn it off ... we can wait. Just get the phone. Don't be embarrassed. Just grab it," he added as the audience applauded him.
An amateur video of the incident posted on YouTube shows that the phone stopped ringing after several rings because the audience member didn't reach out for it to avoid embarassment.
'A Steady Rain' is a drama written by Keith Huff and tells the story of two Chicago policemen and their different accounts of the few days that changed their lives.
Reviews have praised Jackman and Craig's performances for which the actors have adapted Chicago accents.
