Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez are confirmed to be dating, People magazine reported.

"It's somewhat serious," the source explained to People. "He introduced her to a bunch of his friends."

The couple stayed at the same hotel in Dallas when Rodriguez played against the Texas Rangers, with the two "working out together" according to an eyewitness.

Sources are saying it's too early to tell whether the relationship will last past the season, with one saying: "You never know with Kate."

Rodriguez was previously linked to Madonna and believed to have been partly responsible for the 'Material Girl' singer's divorce from Guy Ritchie.

Hudson, previously married to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, has had a two-year on-off relationship with Owen Wilson.
