Pop star from the '80s Boy George is out of prison after serving just four months of his 15 month sentence.

The former Culture Club lead singer whose real name is George O'Dowd was jailed in January after the false imprisonment and assault of male escort Audun Carlsen in 2007.

He started serving his sentence in Pentonville Prison and he was later transferred to Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk, where he served the rest of his sentence.

O'Dowd was released on good behaviour. He was fitted with an ankle monitoring tag and must follow a curfew.
