Katy Perry "loves" long-distance relationships.

The singer – who split from Gym Class Heroes rocker Travis McCoy earlier this year – prefers not to see her boyfriends every day so she can spend time alone and treasure the days they have together.

She explained: "I love long-distance relationships. I love my space, and that feeling of not being able to see someone and then seeing them again for a week.

"You really appreciate that moment, turning the phone off and cuddling in bed and ordering in food. That's fun to me."

Although the 'I Kissed A Girl' star is currently single, she admits she is already planning for her future.

The 24-year-old brunette beauty added: "When the time is right, I will get married, yes."

Since splitting from Travis, Katy has been romantically linked to a series of musicians, including Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend Benji Madden and 28-year-old singer Josh Groban.
