Oprah Winfrey's publicist has slammed suggestions that the talk-show host is contemplating closing down her prestigious girls' school.

The prestigious girls academy has been plagued by sexual abuse allegations since it opened in 2007, and in March 2009, a group of girls were expelled after being accused of sexually harassing other students.

A source told the National Enquirer: "Oprah was choking back tears but she was plenty angry. She read them the riot act and basically said she would consider closing the school if she hears of any more incidents. It was a rather blunt warning - no more scandals or else!"

Oprah's publicist says that she is not going to close down the school because she is very committed to it.
