Hot on the heels of Michael Jackson announcing his comeback, Eyewitness News understands South Africa may be part of the singer's plans.

The king of pop is set to play ten concerts in London in July.

He is still responsible for the world's best-selling album but music gurus speculated over whether Jackson's comeback would be a success.

Duncan Gibbons from Jackson's record company Sony BMG was confident.

"Michael remains one of the most phenomenal pop artists in the world no matter what surrounds the other part of his life," he said.

Promoter Attie van Wyk said there were plans in the pipeline to bring him to South Africa.

It all hinges on Jackson's performance in London's O2 Arena in July.
