Hollywood star Matt Damon has been pranked by 94.7’s Darren "Wackhead" Simpson.

Damon is in the country to star as Francois Pienaar in a film about the 1995 Rugby World Cup.

“Wackhead” gave him the full treatment, pretending to be the host of a brand new radio show.

"The movie, 'The Informant', when does that get released?” asked Simpson.

"I think in October,” said Damon.

“Yeah, ‘cause I must say what a fantastic movie. I watched it just last week. I thought your acting was superb in it," said Simpson.

Damon laughed at the piracy suggestion, before saying: "Thank you. It’s good to get some good advance word out there, although I don’t know how you got a copy of the film."

However, Damon seemed to take the joke in his stride.

He played along when Whackhead suggested he had starred in a pornographic movie.

"I saw that other one, it’s quite X-rated I must say. It’s called 'Good Will Humping',”

“What’s it called?” asked Damon.

“'Good Will Humping'!” said Simpson.

“That probably did better then 'Good Will Hunting',” laughed Damon.

“Have you ever seen 'Saving Ryan’s Private'? That’s a really a good one!” exclaimed Damon.
