Robin Gibb's wife is standing by him, despite him fathering a lovechild.
The Bee Gees singer and his wife Dwina appeared together in public to show their unity, just days after it was revealed Robin had a daughter with his live-in housekeeper Claire Yang.
Speaking at a reception in London's Downing Street, Robin said: "All I can say is, life is beautiful. Six years ago my brother Maurice — who was an integral part of the Bee Gees, died and that was a great loss to me.
"New life is heaven sent and is a blessing. That's all I can say about children and life."
Gibb's eight-year relationship with 33-year-old Yang was tolerated by his wife because they have an open relationship.
However, Dwina (56) kicked Yang out of the couple's mansion saying she felt "betrayed" by the pregnancy.
Yang's daughter, Robin Snow, was born last November. Gibb (59) is listed as the father on the birth certificate. Yang now lives in a house rented by the 'Stayin' Alive' singer near his home.
Robin and Dwina were visiting 11 Downing Street — the office of Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling — because the musician has been appointed ambassador of the Diana Awards, set up in memory of the late Princess Diana.
