Lindsay Lohan caused a scene when she unable to travel first class on a recent flight.

The 'Mean Girls' actress was reportedly incensed when she was told there were no first class seats available on the overcrowded flight from Tampa, Florida, to Los Angeles on Saturday, and immediately began shouting.

According to a FOX News source, fellow passengers laughed as Lindsay "stomped around and told a friend she was with: 'You'd better come and visit me back there in case I die.' "

The 22-year-old star was eventually moved to first class, much to the relief of the other travellers.

Lohan was in Tampa with her girlfriend DJ Samantha Ronson, who was playing at ESPN The Magazine's NEXT Pre-Super Bowl party on Friday.

During the bash the pair had an argument, resulting in a furious-looking Lohan chain-smoking next to Ronson's DJ booth and shooting her "dirty looks".

A source claims Lohan "continued to grab Samantha's BlackBerry obsessively" to check for messages, until the 31-year-old DJ took her to the toilets for a discussion.

A source said: "They're always breaking up. Samantha won't let Lindsay go, she doesn't have a career without her."

The two eventually reappeared smiling and joking with each other.

Throughout the evening Lohan — who has completed three stints in rehab for drug and alcohol-related issues — sipped on soft drink Red Bull. A bottle of alcohol was reportedly found under her table after the pair had left.
