Mel B has dismissed rumours she was airbrushed for a recent advertising campaign.

The former Spice Girls star — who recently took over from Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding as the new face of Ultimo — vehemently denied her promotional photographs for the lingerie company were altered.

Mel explained: "I find that funny — I haven't seen the picture. My photographs aren't airbrushed. The reason I was chosen for the campaign is because I'm very curvy, with big boobs, a big bum and a waist."

The 33-year-old singer — who has two daughters, nine-year-old Phoenix and Angel Iris, 17 months, from previous relationships — says she was proud to show off her shapely figure in the advertising campaign because she has always looked after herself.

She added: "I've always been happy with my figure. I've always worked out, always been quite active... well apart from during my pregnancies: then I didn't want to do anything!"

Mel, who has just released her own work-out video, 'Totally Fit', can soon be seen flaunting her body again — she is about to start rehearsals for her Las Vegas burlesque show, 'Peepshow', which she will perform in alongside actress Kelly Monaco.
