'Hot N Cold' singer Katy Perry has split from her rocker boyfriend Travis McCoy.

The couple had just returned home from a vacation to Mexico after being on the road during the summer for the 'Vans Warp' tour and announced their break-up shortly before New Year.

McCoy has not taken the split well and has resorted to his blog FriendsOrEnemies.com where he stated: "My friends always tell me how I'm lucky to possess the best-looking girl in the whole US... it seems like just two years back when we were bonded and not pierced, but now I keep itchin' to jet."

He also posted lyrics, which seem to be aimed at Katy, on 'Looking At The Front Door', which include: "I'm the one you're against and it doesn't make sense. Cause I'm the one that you claim to love for life. But all I get is gray hairs and strife."

Perry, on the other hand, was brave enough to host a New Year's Eve party in Hollywood — despite the break-up.

A friend told The Daily Star Sunday: "The split is a hardship, but she's regrouping."
