Will Young loves being propositioned by men. The 'Grace' singer — who is openly gay — prefers men to approach him because he is so "awful" at making the first move.

He said: "I can be quite shy — I'm a bit better now — but it's actually quite nice if people approach me first. I'm the guy who doesn't get served at the bar, you know?

"I am useless at chatting people up."

The star — who split from his long-term partner Conor last year — also says some men are put off him because they find it hard to get past his celebrity status.

He said: "I can see why people wouldn't know what to say to me. If I meet a famous person, I find having a normal conversation really difficult."

However, Will (29) insists he is happy being single, adding: "I'm just enjoying having fun at the moment. I think if you go out thinking, 'I must meet someone' then your night changes to that kind of focus."
