Anne Heche and partner James Tupper are expecting their first child together.

The 'Nip/Tuck' star — who met actor Tupper on the set of her US TV show ‘Men In Trees’ in 2006 when she was still married to ex-husband Coleman Laffoon — is said to be extremely excited about the pregnancy.

The 39-year-old actress’ representative said: "They are both thrilled!"

Tupper, who was also married when he first met Heche, revealed recently he feels blessed to have met the actress because they have developed such a deep bond.

He said: "In that friendship, we kind of discovered we saw the world in a somewhat similar way. I think we both made decisions that were based on the relationships we were in.

"I wish people could meet her in person. She has such a sparkle and such a love for people, and she works so hard. She is so dedicated to all the good things."

Heche has a six-year-old son Homer with Laffoon.

Before marrying Laffoon, Heche was romantically linked to US TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
