Kate Moss has taken to auricular acupuncture after having received a warning about her health and lifestyle from boyfriend Jamie Hince.

The supermodel, who has a penchant for vodka and cigarettes, is now receiving professional help twice a week to help rid her of her vices but finds it hard because of her fear of needles.

A close friend of the model told The Sunday Express: "At first it made Kate really queasy but she's been told it could be the answer and she really wants to keep Jamie happy.

"She knows her lifestyle was having a detrimental effect on their relationship.

"His big problem with her was how she became manic after drinking and smoking all night and how she then wanted to stay up for hours, so there was no wind-down time together."

In the event of Moss experiencing a relapse, Hince has offered to go through the acupuncture too.

The friend said: "He's now having it too, so it's something they can share. It's really brought them closer together."
