Britain’s favourite female performers are tipped to take top honours at next year’s Grammy Awards ceremony.
The prominent music event, for which nominations will be announced on 3 December, is set to showcase three of the UK’s most successful singers – Leona Lewis, Duffy and Estelle.
The talented trio are all rumoured to be in the running for the event’s highest honours, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Leona’s ‘Bleeding Love’ reached number one on the US singles chart; Duffy’s ‘Mercy’ received critical acclaim after it was played on hit American TV show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, while Estelle’s ‘American Boy’, featuring rapper Kanye West, reached the top 10 stateside.
A source told The Daily Star: “I’d be surprised if Leona, Estelle and Duffy don’t get major nominations. The buzz is all around the Brits again.”
Last year, troubled star Amy Winehouse won Record of the Year for ‘Rehab’, ahead of successful US singers Beyonce Knowles, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake.
