Daniel Craig says he starred in what has been heralded as one of the most iconic Bond scenes by accident.

The ‘Casino Royale’ scene, which shows Craig emerging from the surf in the now notorious blue swimming trunk, was completely unplanned.

Craig told Skymag: “The joke of it is that scene happened by accident. Where we were filming in the Bahamas, the beach has a very low shelf and the water is very shallow.

“I kind of swam underwater for a while and then came up, and of course it’s only up to my knees. So you saw more of me than we were expecting!”
