George Clooney is reportedly keen to use music by super-group Stereophonics in his next directing project.

The 47-year-old actor is said to have invited the band’s frontman Kelly Jones to his Lake Como home in order to discuss possible collaborations.

A source told The Sun: “George is meticulous about the music he uses in the movies he directs.

“He is very keen to commission Kelly to provide new songs for various projects he’s got in development and they spent the evening chewing over possibilities.”

According to reports, Clooney has been a fan of the group for a while and the meeting has been long awaited.

Massive fan

The insider added: “George is a massive fan of the Stereophonics. He’s followed them throughout their career and has always wanted to meet Kelly to tell him how much he loved their music.

“Conflicting schedules have meant a meeting has been difficult to organise up until now.”

Following their get-together, George jetted off to the Venice Film Festival to promote new Coen Brothers comedy, ‘Burn After Reading’, in which he plays CIA agent Harry Pfaffer.
