Clooney not broody
Fri, 29 Aug 2008 12:00
George Clooney has no intention of having children.
The actor ? who, along with Brad Pitt, is currently showcasing new film 'Burn After Reading' at the Venice Film Festival ? claims he enjoys his freedom too much to consider starting a family.
Despite his own reservations, Clooney (47), praised Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie's "patience and dedication" in raising their children, Maddox (7), Pax (4), Zahara (3), Shiloh (2), and twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon who were born in July.
He said: "I couldn't do what Brad and Angie are doing. I wouldn't have the patience or dedication you need to take care of a family. I admire those qualities in other people but it's not for me.
"I'm doing exactly what I want to do. I hang out with the same friends, I spend time in Italy, and then I go back to work. I try not to worry about anything else."
The actor also expressed his delight at the way he has aged, claiming he is very happy with his looks.
He said: "I love my grey hair and the fact my face has more character than it did in my 20s."
Clooney was seen getting close to Argentinean-Italian singer Lola Ponce at the Venice Film Festival 'Not On Our Watch' Charity Gala on Tuesday.
It is the first time the actor has been romantically linked to anyone since his split from cocktail waitress Sarah Larson earlier this year.
