Kiefer dropped the soap

Kiefer Sutherland has spoken for the first time about the time he spent in jail.

Sutherland said: "I dropped the soap."

Sutherland, who plays Jack Bauer in the hit series '24', was arrested in Los Angeles in September 2007.

He was sentenced to 48 days in prison; 30 for driving under the influence and a further 18 for violating a previous drink driving arrest in 2004.

The 41-year-old actor said: "I actually dropped the soap. I remember looking down at it, and then I looked around and thought: 'Soap is overrated? I'm done with this shower!'"
